Policies and Procedures
Reserving Your Spot
Your spot is not confirmed until the Release of Liability has been signed and your deposit payment has been received. To give you time to complete these steps, your spot will be held for 48 hours from the time you were emailed an available slot. If your deposit and release form have not been received in this timeframe, the spot will be considered available for other students.
Payment
A non-refundable deposit consisting of the registration fee and payment for 2-weeks of lessons is required within 48 hours to reserve your spot. The balance for the rest of your lessons will be due before the first lesson. If payment is not received before the first lesson, your spot may be given to another student. Once lessons have begun, payment is non-refundable.
The registration fee is paid for each family. Siblings taking lessons during the same season receive free registration.
COVID Precautions
You acknowledge and accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 as a result of coming to swim lessons, and agree to abide by the COVID precautions outlined here, and any other precautions outlined by your instructor. If you are not comfortable with these risks or unwilling to abide by the precautions, please do not sign up for lessons.
Makeup Lessons
Makeup lessons are not offered for conflicts on your part, nor are refunds offered for missed classes. When you enroll your student in lessons, you are reserving a slot for your child that is in high demand. By reserving this spot you are agreeing to pay for your reserved spot independent of your child's attendance. If your child is ill, the instructor will do her best to find a time to make up the missed lessons, but this cannot be guaranteed. If lessons are cancelled due to weather, make-up lessons will be provided.
Promptness
Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your lesson time so you will not miss any of your lesson. If you are late, your lesson time may have to be shortened.
Supervision
The parent/guardian or caregiver who brings the child(ren) to swim lessons is solely responsible for supervising child(ren) before and after lessons. Children should NOT be left unsupervised for ANY period of time.
Feeding
Your child should eat at least 2 hours before the lesson, or wait until after the lesson to eat.
Diapering
Children who have not been COMPLETELY potty-trained (accident free) for at least 3 months are required to wear the swim diaper provided with your registration in order to prevent pool accidents.
Observing Your Child's Lessons
If your child is emotional during lessons, the parent or caregiver is asked to observe lessons from a distance, where you can see your child, but your child cannot see you. This helps most children to calm down more readily than if you are standing in close proximity.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS “DROWN-PROOF!”
You should never consider a child “drown-proof,” no matter how many lessons he or she has had. Small Fry Swimmers, LLC makes no guarantees, expressed or implied, whatsoever as to any child’s ability to swim or survive any unsupervised aquatic accident. Even when a child completes his/her lessons with Small Fry Swimmers, LLC, he/she still needs uninterrupted and constant adult supervision anytime he/she is in or around a body of water.
PAYMENT OF THE DEPOSIT ACTS AS AN AFFIRMATIVE STATEMENT AND REPRESENTATION THAT YOU, INDIVIDUALLY AND ON BEHALF OF YOUR MINOR CHILD AND THE OTHER PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S) OF THAT CHILD, HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO ABIDE AND BE OBLIGATED BY THESE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
